ClassScape…hot or not?

Hey guys!   I know we are at different places within our ClassScape journeys, but I really want to get some feedback from you.

  • How did you feel about the first ClassScape assessment?
  • Do you like that the info is available for you in egrades but does not count for or against your academic performance in class?
  • How did you feel about our call to class conference today?
  • Did you like having the ClassScape Assessment 1 conference individually with me?  What was beneficial about the conference?  If you haven’t had your ClassScape conference with me yet, what do you hope to gain?
  • Do you like taking the assessment in class and during AC when it is quiet or would you prefer to go to a lab and take it all together?
  • If you could change one thing about ClassScape, what would it be and why?

Congrats to our top scorers from ClassScape Assessment 1: Cooper, Caroline, Haven, and Erika!  Way to show what you know!  I am super proud!

  1. I think the class scape is ok. I guess it is good for the EOG but it is kind of a boring. I think we should all take it at once in a lab because sometimes I feel like AC is a time where we have kind of a break from classes. But I guess that is not what AC is for.

  4. I think that classcape is ok but it id good for our EOG’s. It would be easier to do it during ac because then we dont have so many destractions as we did in the libary. Confrancing with you is nice also because then we get to see what we did wrong. But it was defintaly very boring and i dont know how to make it fun.

  5. I don’t mind class scape. It’s acually better, in my opinion, than an overall E.O.G. A few Q’s could be changed but other than that the system is great.

  7. I don’t really like classscape. It is sort of boring and feels too much like the EOG’s. I would like to go to the lab and take it together because… I dunno. I guess just because sometimes it is TOO quiet, ya know? I haven’t had my little discussion thing with you yet so.. when should I have that? Ok, seeya later! Bye!

  8. I really did not like the classscape all that much. I think i could have done better if there was not as many distractions durring AC because there was so many people talking at once and it was really hard to concentrate. I would prefer to take it all together

  9. I think that classscape is OK.  It’s ok for the E.O.G.’s but other than that it’s really boring.  I would change some of the questions like you said some of them don’t make sense.  I haven’t conferenced with you yet.

  10. I don’t really like the classscape, its not really fn but then again its probably not supposed be. When you discussed the questions that i got wrong with me it was a little bit easier, but its still not very fun.

  11. I don’t like classscape all that much, I think it’s kind of boring. If we could do something as a class instead of having to read the selections (which are boring to me) alone then I’d be o.k about E.O.G review.

  15. Hey. I think that the classcape things actually helped get to know how to do the it better. When we have to do them I think we should all go to the dell lab or something. See ya tomorrow.

  16. I don’t like the ClassScape thing very much. I mean it would be cool not to have eogs, but the questions are kind of hard, and you have to reread the selection several times. I’d rather have the eogs.

    But I think the landscape is ok, it’s sorta hard though, but I think it helps me to get ready for the EOG.

  18. I didnt really like it on the computer, I would like it better on paper. People in the library were so loud!!!!! I could barley read it in my head. I think we should do it on paper in the hall. that would be alot easyier. All the people talking to me and asking me questions and I would be interupted every couple sentences. It was toward the end of the class peroid so I kinda skimmed through the last selection and didnt really focous on the questions.

  19. I liked cause I did good on it but it was pretty boring. Also the stories were to long. You haven’t conferenced with me yet soooo. But I like to take it in the library or dell lab. It helped me for the EOG though. See ya tomorrow.

  20. I didn’t like it because it’s boring like the EOG. I suppose if it is going too help us in the long run then im all for it. I havent been able too do it in your class yet. So i dont have a problem with doing it in the library. See you tomorrow

  21. I did like the classscape assessment. It helps me a lot on what I need to work on in my reading skills. I’m glad that it isn’t a grade because it is something to help me find what I need to work on. I think it is better for it not to be a grade! The class conference was ok. I didn’t really like that. I like having individual confrences. You telling me what I need to look for is a big help for me. I would rather take it in AC. It is better. I really don’t want to change anything! See you tomorrow!   22. Mrs. Lancaster I’m sorry that I didn’t post this on Monday, but I think the first classcape assesment was okay some of the questions that I had were hard. I think that I did bad on it because Probably rushed even though I did the assesment during AC. What I would do differently is to see what our score that we made when we are done. When I took the Assesment I did it in the Dell Lab. Then it was quiet, But I think if I took it again I would want to do it in the Dell Lab with a few people that’s how I did it. I didn’t have a peer conference or a conference with you yet on my Classcape.

  24. I feel great about the first Class-Scape assessment. I was nervous at first, but now I feel more confident than before. Yes I do, it makes me realize the mistakes I have made. I feel good about the class meeting because we get to talk about what questions we need to recognize. Yes I did like it and everything was benaficial. Yes I do like taking the Class-Scape assessment in AC and in class. There is nothing that I would like to change.

  25. I think that Classscape was really boring and I think that we should use a different kind of grading test thing. I think that the conference when I take it will help me with classscape. I like having it be quiet when I take the assessment. See you in class!! :D

  26. Classscape is ok. I felt alright taking the first 1. I like having it on e-grades because we can see how we are doing but yet it doesn’t count so if we make a bad grade we can see it but it doesn’t mess our grade up. The conference was alright. I like having the conference with you because we get to talk about our mistakes with you and we get a better understanding of the question(s) and answer(s).I like taking it when it is quiet because we get to concentrate but either way is fine with me. I would change the reading selections because they are very boring. No offense.

  29. Ummm… Well.. Class Scape isn’t as hot as me but it’s better than doin’ those like workbook things that are sorry & freakin’ borin’!I don’t think it’s appropriate to do Class Scape during AC because thats like my time I read… But W/E..

  30. I HATED CLASSSCAPE!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS BORING AND I HATED IT BECAUSE IT WAS HORRIBLE AND STUPID AND STUFF CAUSE IT WAS ALL BAD AND IT WAS JUST NOT ENJOYABLE AND TERRIBLE AND WHAT NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Not! It wasn’t really bad or good. It was just another school assignment. I would change it’s boringness. I did learn from my sssssssssssssssssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy(silly) mistakes.

    Yes; That part I am happy with. But I won’t take that for granted.

    I felt mainly good about it. I don’t think I expressed my as much as I wanted to though.

    I helped me to not make the same mistakes as I did in the first ClassScape assessment.
    * Do you like taking the assessment in class and during AC when it is quiet or would you prefer to go to a lab and take it all together?
    I would rather take the assessment somewhere where everyone can be quiet so I can concentrate on my work.
    * If you could change one thing about ClassScape, what would it be and why?
    I would probably make the selections better to read. I would like to have stories that you can relate to and laugh at instead of boring stories.

  35. I agree with most of these posts and comments, it is boring, very boring. and I do agree with the suggestion of taking it all at once. so im saying we should take it all at once and make it more interesting and maybe do something with the entire class with it or something.

  39. I do not like doing class scape. I kindof think that is a waste of time. I like the test’s that you give us and I like learning something new every day. I do not like them because some of the questions do not make sence to me.

  40. Class Scape is OK. It can get super boring though. I def love that class scape is not counted for a grade. It is a pretty great learning tool. Especially when we have the conferences with you. I also like that they are in private and it’s really helpfull when you can tell us why we got the answer wrong and how it should be the right answer. I don’t really care where we take class scape as long as we are in a quiet place. I don’t really know what I would change as long they don’t get very long (max of 10-12 questions) Thanks!!!! EB

  43. I do not like classscape. The test are ok on the computer but not classscape the storys are to long and you never finish. All you do is read the story and the bell rings. I do not like them.
